Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has been under heavy speculation regarding his future at Stamford Bridge hence the return of Thibaut Courtois to the club.
Courtois, who spent three seasons on loan at Spanish side Atletico Madrid, has removed Cech as Chelsea’s first-choice keeper since returning to West London at the start of this campaign, starting in all the Blues’ Premier League fixtures this season.
The Belgian has also recently signed a new five-year contract at Chelsea, which has increased the chances of Cech making a move away from Stamford Bridge; with both PSG and Real Madrid highly interested in signing the 32-year-old.
However, Cech has assured to the media that any decision regarding his future will be made by the club.
“As concerns my future at Chelsea, it depends entirely on the club. Everyone is asking me what if and what will be,” the Czech international said.
“As a player, who has two years left on the contract, I cannot make choices.
“It is simple. If the club says ‘You are staying here’ then I will be staying. That’s why I’m staying.”
