Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has reportedly given Petr Cech the green-light to leave the club this month.

The veteran was dropped by the manager at the beginning of the season after choosing to give Thibaut Courtois the number-one jersey, and despite being relegated to the bench, Cech wanted to stay at The Bridge in order to fight for his first-team spot.

However, halfway through the season, Cech has failed to break back into the first-team, only making rare cup appearances, and according to reports, he has now been given permission to leave the club.

The 32-year-old has been strongly linked with Premier League rivals, Arsenal and Liverpool, but according to a well respected journalist, a move to AS Roma is close.

Mourinho has agreed to sell Cech, and Roma will hold talks with the West London club in the next few weeks.
