The Chelsea keeper is desperate for first-team football next season

Jose Mourinho’s decision to make Thibaut Courtois no.1 has left Cech looking for an exit this summer.

The Turkish club look to be favourites for his signature but a host of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Liverpool are also rumoured destinations for the veteran shot-stopper.

Cech’s agent, Viktor Kola said: “We have been in contact with Besiktas, we are in talks. Turkey is a choice for Cech but we will decide when the league is over.”

Premier League interest

Arsene Wenger and Brendan Rodgers also see the experienced goalkeeper – who has made 450 appearances for Chelsea – as a potential transfer target for next season.

Wenger has been unable to decide on whether David Ospina or Wojciech Szczęsny should be the first choice goalkeeper at the Emirates and Cech would be a proven alternative.

As for Rodgers, he has been left questioning his goalkeepers after some high profile errors throughout the season.

Simon Mignolet struggled halfway through the campaign and was then dropped for Brad Jones, but he also failed to make an impact in the first-team.

Despite his struggles, Mignolet is still on for the Golden Glove alongside Courtois.

Mourinho’s intentions

Despite the Chelsea manager electing to field Courtois ahead of Cech this season, the former Real Madrid boss does want “Petr to stay”.

He added: “After that, second point to go but not in England. The option I don’t want is for him to go to an English club.”
