Serie A star Krzysztof Piatek has said that it is his dream to play in the Champions League someday. Piatek joined Genoa from Polish club Cracovia this summer. So far, he has done brilliantly for the club. In 11 appearances across all competitions, the Poland striker has scored 13 goals. He is the first player in more than two decades to score in his first 7 Serie A appearances.
The 23-year old striker admitted that he wants to play at a big club. Piatek said, “The dream of those who come to Genoa is that they use it as a stepping stone towards a big club. If I continue this way, I could sign for a big club. My objective is to play in the Champions League.”
Several top clubs have shown interest in Piatek. These include Chelsea, Napoli, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid. Napoli President Aurelio di Laurentis even said that he held talks with Genoa over Piatek. However, Piatek’s agent Szymon Pacanowski said that no clubs have formally made any move to sign him.
