The nominees for April’s Manager of the Month and Player of the Month have been announced.

Tony Pulis, Gus Poyet, Jose Mourinho and Tim Sherwood have all been shortlisted for the managerial award, whilst Jason Puncheon, Raheem Sterling, Connor Wickham and Wilfried Bony are up for the player award.

A double for Crystal Palace proves how much of a turn around they have had, and throughout April, Pulis guided his side to four wins from five, including an impressive 3-2 win at Goodison Park against Everton.

As for Puncheon, he contributed massively throughout April with four goals for his new club.

Palace aren’t the only team with double nominations as Sunderland have both manager, Poyet shortlisted, and player, Wickham nominated.

The Black Cats were meant to be all-but down already despite their two games in hand, but after drawing at the Etihad Stadium and then beating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, they now sit above the relegation zone with just three games remaining.

Sunderland have won two, drawn one and lost two from April, but the two latter results coming away against the big-boys has turned their season around completely and all thanks to one-man, Connor Wickham, who has netted five goals in just three games.

The last two managers nominated come from London as Mourinho and Sherwood both celebrate successful Premier Leauge months.

Spurs won three out of their four games in April, whilst Chelsea won three as well, including their 2-0 away win at Anfield against Liverpool.

Also nominated for Player of the Month is Liverpool’s Sterling and Swansea City’s Bony.

The English winger netted three times during the month for The Reds, whilst Bony struck four times.

Who will win the awards for April then??
