Top 5 Players Who Should Leave Chelsea in January 2025
Chelsea excelled in the 2024 transfer window, but they’ve yet to make any January signings. While some clubs have been actively acquiring new talent, others are biding their time, waiting for the perfect opportunity to bring in the right player.
However, as well as signing players, clubs need to sell players too and in this article, we are going to focus on five players that should leave Chelsea Football Club.
It’s tough breaking into the champions’ first-team and it’s even harder to cement a spot in it, but for these five players, SillySeason feel it’s beneficial for them to leave Stamford Bridge and resume their career elsewhere.
So lets start the top-five list off.
5) Ben Chiwell is Chelsea’s left back who should leave in January 2025

Ben Chilwell’s future at Chelsea has been a topic of speculation in recent months. The English left-back has struggled to get consistent playing time, and West Ham United has reportedly expressed strong interest in buying him.
At 27, Chilwell is at a stage in his career where regular minutes are crucial, and a move could rejuvenate his career. Chelsea appears open to letting him leave, with a reported asking price of €15 million—a reasonable figure for a player of his caliber.
For West Ham or for any particular club, Chilwell’s experience and skill set could provide a much-needed boost on the left flank.
4) Carney Chukwuemeka is one of chelsea young player who should leave in 2025
According to reports, the Chukwuemeka has been offered a new contract at Stamford Bridge, but if he has any sense, he will reject the contract and move on.
Carney Chukwuemeka’s potential departure could be one of the more intriguing moves of the window. The young midfielder, who joined Chelsea in 2022, has yet to fully establish himself in the first team.
Chelsea’s management values Chukwuemeka highly, evident from their £40 million price tag during the last transfer window.
Chukwuemeka is seen as a back-up option to Enzo Maresca and would be playing most of his games from off the substitute bench.
However, the midfielder could choose to leave West London in order to play first-team football elsewhere.
Teams in Italy are reportedly interested.
3) Benoit Badiashile should definitely leave Chelsea this January transfer window 2025

Benoit Badiashile’s time at Chelsea could also be nearing its end. The French center-back, signed from AS Monaco for €38 million in January 2023, has found his opportunities limited due to the rise of academy graduate Levi Colwill.
With Chelsea preparing to integrate Aaron Anselmino into their defensive lineup, Badiashile’s future looks uncertain. The 24-year-old was previously linked to AC Milan, but a move didn’t materialize.
This January could finally see him leave Stamford Bridge, as the club looks to streamline its defensive options.
2) Mykhailo Mudryk is one of the midfielder who should leave Chelsea this January 2025
Another player that’s only been at Chelsea for one year, but another one who should seek an exit already.
Signed amidst much fanfare from Shakhtar Donetsk, Mykhailo Mudryk has yet to live up to the expectations that accompanied his hefty price tag.
Chelsea is reportedly keen to reduce their wage bill and sees Mudryk’s potential sale as a way to achieve this. Valued at approximately £30 million, the Ukrainian international’s market appeal remains uncertain, given his inconsistent performances.
However, a change of scenery might benefit both the player and the club, allowing Chelsea to focus on other areas while Mudryk seeks a fresh start.
Another midfielder who should seek a Chelsea exit.
1) Axel Disasi is the top chelsea player who should leave in 2025

Axel Disasi’s Chelsea stint might prove to be short-lived. Brought in for €45 million last summer, the French defender has struggled to cement his place in the team.
Reports suggest that Disasi is not central to Enzo Maresca’s tactical plans, making him a prime candidate for a move.
While his solid performances at AS Monaco initially made him an attractive signing, Disasi’s impact at Chelsea has been limited.
The club is reportedly open to offers and could offload him if the right deal comes along.
So there are the five players we think need to leave Stamford Bridge this January transfer window 2025.
