Mauricio Pochettino has said that Kyle Walker-Peters was fantastic against Barcelona in the right back position.
The Tottenham Hotspur defender was at fault to commit himself as Ousmane Dembele dribbled past him and got the first goal of the match to get his side in the lead.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has come put in support of young defender Kyle Walker-Peters and has said that his performance against Barcelona at Nou Camp was fantastic. The 21-year-old was bamboozled by the Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele who went onto open the scoring for his side in the 7th minute of the match which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Speaking about the young Spurs ace, the Argentine gaffer said, “For me his performance was very good, very good. For me I thought he was fantastic.” He added, “Of course a little bit unlucky in the situation that after we conceded the goal, like other players who have made a mistake. Only you conceded in that situation and in another situation we didn’t.
Pochettino also said, “If we analyse the game and you judge him I think he was fantastic. To make that debut in the Champions League in Barcelona showed he had quality and character to cope with that pressure.”
