The Germany international will move to the champions of Turkey this summer
Lukas Podolski, 30, appears to be on the verge of joining Galatasaray, according to Turkish newspaper Aksam.
The Germany international has struggled to make an impact in North London and spent the second half of last season on loan at Inter Milan.
Podolski, who used to play for Bayern Munich, had one year left on his reported £100,000-a-week deal at the Emirates.
Sterling interest
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will use the funds raised from the sale of Podolski to help fund a big-money move for Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling.
The 20-year-old grew up in North London and may look to return home whilst playing Champions League football and so The Gunners would fit the bill.
After Sterling made his intentions clear about leaving Liverpool, a number of clubs including Manchester City registered an interest in the England international.
With Finanical Fair Play rules set to be relaxed and the need for City to increase their quota of home-grown players, Sterling might be a favourable addition.
City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has recently given manager Manuel Pellegrini the green light to make new signings this summer to improve on a trophy-less campaign last season.
