Manchester United midfielder has said that the ‘outsiders’ tag will help the club to beat Manchester City on Sunday. The Red Devils handed Juventus their first defeat of the season by beating them 2-1. “I think it’s always good to be the outsider, so people expect bad of us and then we surprise people.

Juventus were heavy favorites to beat Manchester United in yesterday’s Champions League clash at Turin and until the 86th minute, it seemed that they would win, leading 1-0. However, a free-kick from Juan Mata and an own goal from Alex Sandro saw Manchester United winning.

Despite being one of the biggest clubs of the world, Manchester United’s business during the summer transfer window and their Premier League saw them falling from favorites to outsiders. However, Pogba feels that this will benefit the club.

The Frenchman said, “It was great. We know that (Juventus) is a big team and, to be honest, when they scored a goal, we had nothing to lose. We carried on, we pushed and we know that we can be dangerous on free-kicks because they defend very well (in open play). We played with that and we scored two goals like this.”

Despite winning their last two Premier League matches, Manchester United will be heading into Sunday’s Manchester Derby as the underdogs. Pogba said, “I think it’s always good to be the outsider, so people expect bad of us and then we surprise people. The most important (thing) is the three points.”
