Premier League duo Chelsea and Liverpool are interested in Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, according to reports.
The Frenchman was attracting interest from Arsenal in the summer, but The Gunners never made a formal bid for the Madrid striker and now it appears their rivals are weighing up whether or not to splash the cash on him.
There are fear around Anfield that Luis Suarez still wants out of the club and his dream is to play at the Bernabeu for the Spanish side and that could play a part in a potential player-swap deal.
The Uruguayan wanted out this summer, but failed to get that move and despite playing for The Reds again, there are still fears that he could leave the club in the near-future, so Benzema may be his replacement.
As for Chelsea, despite already having Demba Ba, Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto’o on their books, Jose Mourinho still wants to add firepower to the side and he has now turned his attentions to former-colleague Benzema.
Reports in Portugal are suggesting that Mourinho will make a bid in January for the French international.
