Premier League duo tracking Karim Benzema

Real Madrid could face interest in Karim Benzema from both Chelsea and Manchester City in the winter transfer window.

The 28-year-old has been with Madrid since 2009 and is reportedly considering a move to the Premier League in the search for a fresh challenge, with City and the Blues keeping tabs.

Benzema has had some off-field problems in recent months following a blackmail scandal with French colleague Mathieu Valbuena, and this has led to his exclusion from the France national team in recent games.

However, he’s still doing the business for Real and has notched 12 goals in 15 appearances for Los Blancos so far this campaign, attracting the interest of the Premier League duo.

Chelsea are in need of world-class signings in a bid to save their so-far stuttering season, and City are also in the market for a striker of Benzema’s calibre to help take the goalscoring pressure off of Sergio Aguero.

Any move for the former Lyon man would be costly, however if he was open to the move then he’d certainly be a good addition should Real’s valuation be met come January.
