Schalke midfielder Max Meyer has denied that he is interested in a move to either Arsenal or Chelsea, reports the Metro.

The highly rated 18 year old has been a target for both London clubs, however he has stated that he will not be leaving Germany, and the Bundesliga this summer.

Through his performances, he has already won call ups for the full national squad, and was included in the provisional squad for this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil, as the Germans won it.

Meyer has stated in a recent interview that he is not interested in a move.

‘Arsenal and Chelsea interest? That doesn’t really affect me,’ Meyer said.

‘I completely ignore it… I don’t care about interest from other teams because I’m feeling very well at Schalke.

‘There’s absolutely no reason for me to leave Schalke at this stage, so I ignore all rumours.’

Meyer made 37 appearances for Schalke last season, scoring six Bundesliga goals for Schalke.
