All top four clubs in England: Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal are reportedly tracking Hamburg and Turkish international Hakan Calhanoglu following an impressive season in Germany.
Despite his side’s struggles for form, Calhanoglu has scored 10 goals and has provided 3 assists, and his impressive form has led to employers extending his contract with the Bundesliga side until 2018.
The Turk’s father has claimed that 10 clubs are chasing the playmaker in the hope of a transfer this summer and along with a host of top Premier League sides, Bayer Leverkusen are also reportedly interested.
Leverkusen’s chase for Calhanoglu could be further boosted should Hamburg, who currently sit 16th in their league, be relegated at the end of the season.
Whether or not the Turk will join any of the Premier League sides will depend very much on how the season ends, with Liverpool almost clinching the title and Chelsea looking strong in the Champions League, it is no surprise these teams have caught the Hamburg man’s eye.
