Laurent Koscielny and Aaron Ramsey win massive praise
Arsenal duo Laurent Koscielny and Aaron Ramsey have been hailed as the best players in their position in the Premier League by legends Rio Ferdinand and Steven Gerrard.
Both Ferdinand and Gerrard were working for BT Sport last night covering the Arsenal game against Olympiakos, which the Gunners won 3-0 to progress to the last-16 of the Champions League.
Speaking ahead of the game, focus was on Ramsey playing in the heart of the midfield due to injuries to Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla.
When talking about the Welshman, Liverpool legend Gerrard, claimed Ramsey was the best in the Premier League when he plays in the centre of the park.

‘Mentally I don’t think he’ll be happy himself playing out wide because he hasn’t got the legs. His quality is all in the middle,’ Gerrard told Gary Lineker on BT Sport.
‘For me, when he’s in that form, he’s the best attacking midfielder in the Premier League.
‘You’ve to play your best players where they want to play and I’m sure he’ll want to be in the middle.’
Ramsey responded to Gerrard’s comments after the game by tweeting: “Honoured to hear that from a legend like Gerrard.”

As well as Ramsey, Koscielny received massive praise from another Premier League legend as Manchester United hero Ferdinand claimed the Frenchman was the best centre-back in the league.
‘Koscielny for me, when he’s on form I think he’s the best defender in the league,’ Ferdinand said on BT Sport.
‘Kompany’s not fit enough consistently enough and he’s turned into a real top class defender.’
