Everton striker Romulu Lukaku claims he is not currently considering Chelsea’s reported interest in bringing him back to Stamford Bridge.

Reports from various outlets have claimed that the 23-year-old Belgium international and Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata are Chelsea’s to targets should Diego Costa choose to leave in the summer.

Lukaku left Chelsea for Everton in a club record deal for the Toffee’s, signing for 28m in 2014.

Lukaku has been expected to put pen to paper on a new contract at Everton, but his agent Minho Raiola warned that he may still consider a move away in the summer as he aims to play Champions League football.

“At the moment, I’m just focused on the season” Lukaku said.

“I’m not reading anything about it, I’m just focused with the team.”

Reports have suggested that Lukaku still dreams of proving himself at Chelsea, a place he views as somewhere he has unfinished business after starting just ONE league game during his three years with Chelsea.

Lukaku was seen by Chelsea fans at the time as the natural replacement of an ageing Dider Drogba – but failed to live up to the expectation and suffered a lack of game time during his time in West London.

He has managed however to become a staple in Ronald Koemans Everton side.

Lukaku has made no secret that he grew up with a love for Chelsea, and was subject of a television documentary series called “Lukaku’s School” and in 2009 the series followed Lukaku and his teammates to Stamford Bridge, where Lukaku said “What a stadium. If one day in my life I will cry, it wil be the day I play here. I love Chelsea.”

He also has gone on record saying that Dider Drogba was his childhood hero growing up, and that he tried as a youngster to base his game around the former Chelsea striker.

In time we will find out of Lukau’s love for Chelsea still remains – but for now, he appears focused on the rest of Everton’s campaign.
