Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta has admitted that the Premier League table will only form shape come 10-games and believes no-one should judge what the table looks like now.

The Gunners currently top the table after picking up a point away at West Bromwich Albion on Sunday and they are closely followed by Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool, who eased past Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Despite being top though, the Spaniard doesn’t want to read too much into it and insists that the real-table will form shape in late October, early November.

“After 10 games most of the teams have played against most of the teams,” Arteta told Arsenal Player. “You know where you are and you know your level. You have played against teams at the top and teams at the bottom as well. But at the moment the league looks good.

“It’s going to be tough. There are five or six teams challenging to win it so you are not depending on one or two results.

“That’s what makes this league the most entertaining in Europe so we know how tough it’s going to be. But we are on a good run and we are confident with the players we have.”
