Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United eye City flop

Former Manchester City defender Stefan Savic has become a surprise transfer target for three Premier League clubs, according to Sky Sports.

Savic, currently plying his trade at Fiorentina in Italy after a nightmare spell with City, is attracting attention from Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Spanish side Atletico Madrid are also interested in the Montenegro international.

Savic signed for Manchester City from FK Partizan in 2011, by ex-manager Roberto Mancini.

However, he made only eleven appearances in just one season at the club before being shipped out, in a deal that brought Matija Nastasic in.

Career On the Turn

Since that torrid spell, he has flourished with the Viola, rebuilding his reputation as a fine defender.

This has not gone unnoticed, with United manager Louis Van Gaal reportedly keen.

However, he may only be a backup option if deals for Sergio Ramos and Nicolas Otamendi fall through.

This may well let in Arsenal and Liverpool, as well as Atletico.

Fiorentina have placed an ÂŁ11m price tag on Savic, but this is unlikely to deter any potential suitors.
