Pressure on Swansea boss Laudrup.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup faces a uphill struggle to keep his job at Swansea City, with speculation growing on his future.

The Danish boss was a revelation in this first season, guiding the Swans to their first ever domestic trophy, as the Welsh side hammered Bradford City 5-0 in the League Cup Final.

The win capped a superb campaign for the articulate Dane, who has carried on the attractive football left by both Brendan Rodgers and Roberto Martinez.

The South Wales side have however decided to revamp Laudrup’s backroom staff, with Swans stalwart Gary Monk coming into the coaching side of things at the Liberty Stadium.

Laudrup’s current staff of Erik Larsen, Morten Wieghorst and Oscar Garcia are understood to have drawn private criticism from their employers at Swansea.
All is not well at the Swans, with the side embroiled in a real battle to survive in the Premiership.

Swansea currently sit in 12th in the table, but don’t let that decieve you, with just three points between the Swans in 12th, and rivals Cardiff City in 19th.

They have won just one game, out of ten, which is causing Jenkins and the hiarachy real concern.

Laudrup’s contract runs to a climax in June, with the Swans sweating over his future, with Barcelona interested in his services.

They play fierce rivals Cardiff over the weekend, in what is a crucial game for the Lilywhites.
