Manchester United vs Manchester City has almost arrived, here’s our Manchester derby preview

Manchester United welcome neighbours Manchester City to Old Trafford tomorrow for the first Manchester derby of the season; kick-off 12:30 (BST).

It’s also the first taste of a Manchester derby for the respective new managers Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola.

United boss Mourinho and City chief Guardiola clashed repeatedly during Spain’s El Clasico, when they managed Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.

Both sides are protecting 100% records, after they won their opening three Premier League fixtures.

Team news

The Red Devils will assess Antonio Valencia when he returns from representing Ecuador on international duty.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is a major doubt after suffering an arm injury whilst playing for Armenia.

However, left-back Luke Shaw is available despite withdrawing from the England squad.

On the other hand, City will be without Sergio Aguero, who is serving the first game of his three-match suspension.

Vincent Kompany has returned to full training, but it’s very unlikely he will feature.

Claudio Bravo, Ilkay Gundogan and Leroy Sane are all available to make their Manchester City debuts.
