FA Cup fifth round replay

Hull City vs Arsenal

In a game that neither side really needs, Premier League title chasers Arsenal will travel to Premier League promotion hopefuls Hull on Tuesday night.

Steve Bruce’s Championship high-flyers battled valiantly in order to earn a 0-0 draw at the Emirates Stadium, however, it seems that both Bruce and Arsene Wenger would prefer not to have a replay.

Both teams have congested fixture lists as they head towards the business end of their respective seasons.

Hull are looking for an immediate return to the top flight, whereas Arsenal are trying to finish top of that very division for the first time since 2004.

It is the third FA Cup tournament in as many years that these two have met each other, including the 2014 final when the Gunners overturned a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 and lift the famous old trophy.

Champions League last 16 second leg

Chelsea vs PSG

Guus Hiddink’s Blues welcome Laurent Blanc’s Paris Saint-Germain to Stamford Bridge for their Champions League knockout round second leg on Wednesday night.

They are the only English team in elite European action this week, as both Manchester City and Arsenal play their respective second legs next week and Liverpool host Manchester United in the Europa League on Thursday night.

And Chelsea have a lot to do, as PSG will bring a 2-1 lead across the channel with them to West London.

A 1-0 win for Hiddink’s men would see them through via the away goals rule, but that means they would have to stop the Ligue 1 champions from scoring.

This could prove difficult because they have some serious firepower going forward through the likes of Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
