PSG have tabled a new contract to Argentinian star, Ezequiel Lavezzi, hoping that this will hold off heavy interest from the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.
It has been suggested that Chelsea were going to make attempts to sign the attacker in the summer, as the club have been long term admirers of the player.
But Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims PSG will offer Lavezzi a new deal to ensure he remains with them rather than move elsewhere.
This will come as a blow to Chelsea after many people expect a overhaul in the club’s attacking options, with Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto’o all expected to move on in the summer.
