PSG edge ahead in the race for Kevin Strootman

Paris Saint Germain appear to have edged ahead of European competition in the race for Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman.

The Dutch midfielder has also been linked with a move to the Premier League with Manchester United, but PSG have a way in which they could tempt Roma into selling to them instead.

Young PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot could be offered in a part exchange for the Dutchman, as Roma have identified Rabiot as a player that they want to sign in previous transfer windows.

And this could lead to PSG coming out on top of the race for the midfielder, who unfortunately missed this summer’s World Cup through injury.

Rabiot’s contract is up next summer so PSG won’t want to lose him on a free, making a move in January more likely for the 19 year-old.

This news will not be welcomed by Arsenal and Chelsea, who have also been tracking Rabiot over the previous months.
