French champions to offer TWO players plus ÂŁ11.5million for midfielder

Paris Saint-Germain have entered the race to sign AS Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

The Bosnian international is believed to be on Antonio Conte‘s radar for Chelsea, but according to reports today, the Blues could miss out on the midfielder as PSG line up a player+cash bid.

In fact, the Ligue 1 champions are prepared to offer Roma two players as well as ÂŁ11.5million.

Two Player Exchange

The two players they are prepared to offer are Lucas Digne, who is currently on-loan at the Serie A club, and also Adrien Rabiot, who is considered back-up to the club’s wealthy midfield.

Rabiot is behind the likes of Thiago Motta, Blaise Matuidi, Marco Verratti and Javier Pastore, and despite scoring against Chelsea in the Champions League last night, it’s reported he could be used as bait for Pjanic.

Chelsea have been linked with making a move for the Bosnian, as Conte eyes additions to strengthen the current squad at Stamford Bridge, but he could be set to miss out on his target.

Pjanic has a ÂŁ31m release clause in his contract, but instead of paying that, PSG want to use players in order to decrease the financial value of the deal.
