Chelsea goalkeeper set for Summer exit

French champions Paris Saint-Germain have entered the race to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech, alerting Arsenal, Liverpool and AS Roma.

The veteran is set to leave Stamford Bridge this Summer after losing his place in the first-team to Thibaut Courtois at the beginning of the season after he returned from a three-year loan spell at Atletico Madrid.

Decision to Drop Cech

Jose Mourinho informed Cech of his decision before the first game of the season against Burnley and despite the transfer window still being open, the Czech international decided to stay put in West London and fight for his place.

However, throughout the season, Cech has only been given a handful of games and he’s now ready to move on to find regular first-team opportunities.

Teams Interested

AS Roma, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been strongly linked with the shot-stopper in the past, but according to reports, PSG are now in the race as well.

Chelsea are already in the market looking for a suitable signing to bring in to Stamford Bridge in order to replace the 32-year-old, meaning it’s likely that he will leave.
