Could Liverpool face battle to keep Brazilian?

Liverpool could have a fight on their hands to keep number 10 Phillipe Coutinho, who is the target of a £45million planned bid from PSG.

The Ligue 1 champions are on the hunt for top addition to their team to be more competitive in Europe. They are also looking for a marquee name to be part of their team after the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic after his contract expired.

They’ve been linked with Chelsea’s Eden Hazard over the past few months, after he was particularly below-par for his usual high standards in the 2015/16 season, a season which saw Chelsea finish 10th.

But – according to Le10 Sport – PSG have set their sights on luring Coutinho away from Anfield.

The French club have reportedly already sounded out the player’s entourage and they are ready to submit a bid of £45m.

Liverpool, however, are adamant that Coutinho is not for sale at any price and will fight tooth and nail to keep him for the long-term.

Coutinho was key in Liverpool’s big league wins and on their journey to the Europa League final this season, getting goals in both away wins at Chelsea and Manchester City, and also getting big goals in the Europa League tie against Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund.
