PSG plan summer move for Hugo Lloris

PSG have recently raided the Premier League for one of it’s French stars and it could yet happen again in the summer as they are reportedly preparing a £16.5m bid for the French captain this summer.

The current ‘keeper at PSG, Salvatore Sirigu, is not seen as the ‘keeper to take them to the next level but they feel that in moving for Lloris in the summer they could be getting a world-class ‘keeper who will take them to the next level.

There is reason for optimism for PSG because the Tottenham goalkeeper has recently said that he would be open to a move if the club failed to qualify for the Champions League

“The objective is to reach the Champions League. After that, it is to close the gap on the biggest teams in the league.

“Without Champions League football? I’ve not thought about it. I must weigh things up at the end of the season.”

Champions League football is not a certainty for the London club next season as they are still outside the top 4 at the moment but they only sit 3 points off Liverpool.

The £16.5m that it is believed PSG are willing to pay seems quite a small amount for a goalkeeper with such class and it could be huge blow for Tottenham this summer if they do lose him. Another reason for Tottenham fans to worry is the fact that Lloris has previously worked under the current PSG boss, Laurent Blanc, while he was the manager of France and that could persuade Lloris to make the move even if Tottenham do qualify for the Champions League.
