Paris Saint-Germain plan move for Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro as they look to boost their chances of Champions League success.
The Brazilian has frequently impressed for Real and is one of PSG’s leading targets in the upcoming transfer window, according to French reports. PSG, who have much money to spend, are eager to strengthen their squad as they look to go further in the Champions League.
They were eliminated at the last-16 stage of this season’s competition against Real, with Casemiro scoring in the second leg.
With Thiago Motta set to leave and Marco Verratti and Giovani Lo Celso not seen as defensive midfielders, a move for Casemiro would make sense. Casemiro is only 26 and still has several years ahead of him at the highest level.
Casemiro has a release clause of €200million (£172.6m), although it remains to be seen whether Real will consider selling him this summer.
