PSG have completed the signing of Cameroonian forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting from Stoke City on deadline day. Choupo-Moting’s contract at Stoke City ended by mutual consent.
He joined Stoke City from Schalke last summer on a three-year deal. He played 32 matches for the club across all competitions and scored 5 goals. Sadly, Stoke ended 19th in the Premier League and had to face relegation.
He has also played 45 matches for Cameroon since his debut in 2010. Choupo-Moting has 13 international goals to his name. He has played at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups. Out of a possible 6 World Cup matches, Choupo-Moting has started in 5 of them.
Stoke City released a statement on their official website. It read, “The club would like to take this opportunity to thank Maxim for his efforts and wish him well in the future.”
The 29-year old is PSG’s second signing on deadline day with the club signing Juan Bernat from Bayern Munich as well.
