Claude Puel has said that he wants his side to play intense football in the next match against Manchester City.

The Foxes are set to face the reigning Premier League champions in their League Cup fixture to be played tomorrow.

Leicester City manager Claude Puel has said that he wants his team to intensify their game in the next match against the Premier League trophy holders Manchester City in the League Cup. The Foxes faced a disappointing defeat in their last match in the Premier League at the hands of Crystal Palace as the south London side went onto win the match by 1-0. The result has also pushed the former Premier League champions to the 12th place in the points table and has put a significant amount of pressure on their manager.

Puel, however, said that he has no pressure on him going into the League Cup match against Manchester City. He said, “No. Why?” He added, “It’s not time to speak about Premier League games, we will see after the game against Chelsea (on Saturday). This is another challenge. We need to take this game without pressure but with a strong feeling to do our best to win. We will have opportunities tomorrow if we play with intensity and fighting spirit.”

The Foxes are set to take on an in-form Chelsea side in their next Premier League match at home and would surely look to revive their position in the league table with a win against the Blues.
