QPR want £2million for Rob Green

Queens Park Rangers have told Chelsea that they would want £2million for goalkeeper Rob Green.

The shot-stopper has been surprisingly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge the past week as the West London outfit begin the hunt to find a suitable replacement for Petr Cech.

It’s widely reported that The Blues will not stand in the veteran’s way if he chooses to leave the club at the end of the season, and the search for a replacement has already started.

Green is the latest to be mentioned as Chelsea believe he could be a solid signing due to his price-tag and his experience.

The 35-year-old is still QPR’s number-one choice, but they would accept an offer of around £2m for the shot-stopper, however, Green may snub the chance at a move due to fears of first-team football.

Whoever Chelsea do sign will be deemed the number-two goalkeeper due to Thibaut Courtois.
