Kevin De Bruyne has said that winning the quadruple is nearly impossible for Manchester City.

The midfield ace’s comments came ahead of City’s match against Schalke in the Champions League.

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has insisted that winning all the four competitions might not be possible for the reigning Premier League and EFL Cup champions. The Citizens are currently at the top of the table in the Premier League alongside Liverpool and have also reached the final of the EFL Cup to set up a match against Chelsea. They are set to face Schalke in the round of 16 of the Champions League and have also made it into the sixth round of the FA Cup this season.

Speaking to the media ahead of their UCL clash, the Belgian ace said, “The way we play is always going to be the same with Pep [Guardiola] – we’re not going to change. We’ve a lot of points and are still setting a high standard, maybe not the same as last year but maybe we’ll win more titles. If we win three titles, we will have done better than last year.”

He added, “I think the goal is not to win the four competitions. The goal is to win every game and the further you progress, you want to win the next game. You cannot say at the beginning we are going to win four.”
