David Moyes has had a rocky start to his managerial career at Manchester United, but Queiroz believes Moyes has the tools and assets to turn it around. Moyes who is known as the chosen one has struggled in the Premier League, and only recently gained their first win in 2014.

United have struggled at home, which has been a surprise to many as Old Trafford has been a fortress for Manchester United. The Red Devils currently sit in seventh in the Premier League, are out of the FA Cup and lost the first leg in the semi final of the Capital One Cup.

The Portuguese coach is currently in charge of the Iran national team, having also spent a number of seasons as Ferguson’s assistant manager.

And regarding Moyes, Queiroz said: “That is the present situation, the fans, David and the players are not happy.

“I know how much the players have a strong wish and determination to come back and I’m sure in a short period of time they will find the right track and it is just a matter of time.

“It is my strong belief, because I know the club and it is very strong, when the board make a decision they trust the people they chose.

“And I’m sure with the qualities and experience David has, plus the wonderful work he did at Everton and the support of the entire board, soon the results will come out and everything will be all right.”

After replacing one of the greatest managers Football has ever seen, Moyes was always going to be under the spotlight, but with a six year contract Moyes should have time to turn Manchester United into his own team and then see if he has the qualities needed to manage such a big club.
