Colombian refuses to comment on future
AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao has refused to comment on his club-future, insisting that he’s fully focused on the Copa America this Summer with his country.
The Colombian international is set to feature in the South American competition over the Summer, but all headlines are focusing on his future after a failed stint at Manchester United.
Falcao’s United Struggles
Falcao secured a season-long loan at Old Trafford for the 2014/2015 campaign, but he failed to impress and struggled to adapt to Premier League football.
Eventually, Louis Van Gaal decided not to turn the loan deal into a permanent one, and Falcao returned to France after the final game of the season against Hull City.
Since returning to France, speculation has suggested that Falcao could be on his way back to England with Chelsea a likely destination.
However, when asked about his future and the Stamford Bridge reports, Falcao refused to comment.
Falcao Remains SilentHe told AS: “Is my future at Monaco? Right now I’m thinking only about the Copa, there has been a lot of talk but I am relaxed about it. My agent is the one who takes care of all of that.”
Chelsea Want New Striker
Chelsea are in the market for a new striker with Didier Drogba leaving the club this Summer, and Falcao is one name being mentioned.
Another possible target is Aston Villa‘s Christian Benteke, who has a £32.4million release clause.
