Rafa Benitez has hinted that Manchester City match is going to be one-sided.
Newcastle United are set to take on the reigning Premier League champions in their next outing.
Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez has given a hint that his side’s next match against defending champions Manchester City would be another attempt for the Magpies to keep their opponents at bay. The Tyneside club are currently in the 17th position in the Premier League table and their match against the in-form Citizens could not have come at a worst time.
Speaking about his tactics to keep the likes of Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane at bay, the Newcastle gaffer has hinted that his side’s approach would not change much. He also said that it is the goal difference which he is concerned about rather than a defeat or win against the Citizens. The Magpies have been in an utter financial conundrum, which has seen them bring in no new players this January with their existing crop not being able to handle the pressure of the campaign this term.
Newcastle United were ousted from the FA Cup in the fourth round after their defeat against Watford. They would now look to concentrate on the battle to survive in the Premier League with every single match being equally important for them.
