Spaniard will take four men with him to St James’ Park

Rafael Benitez will take four of his trusty coaching staff with him to Newcastle United, according to reports.

The Spaniard is heavily tipped to take over from Steve McClaren, who was reportedly sacked earlier in the week after just several months in charge.

McClaren was appointed by the Magpies at the beginning of the season, but with the club second from bottom in the Premier League, he’s reportedly lost his job.

Newcastle are in serious danger of being relegated to the Championship, and with just 10-games remaining, they need to react fast and according to reports, they’ve turned to Benitez.

After being sacked by Real Madrid earlier in the season, the former-Liverpool manager has been out of work, but he’s reportedly accepted the Newcastle role and could sign a three-year deal with the club.

If he does take over, he will bring four members of staff with him.

Coaching Staff Revealed

He could bring Fabio Pecchia (assistant manager), Antonio Gomez Perez (analyst/assistant manager), Xavi Valero (goalkeeper coach) and Paco de Miguel (trainer) to St James’ Park, all whom have worked with him at previous clubs.

All four have worked with Benitez at Liverpool, Chelsea, Napoli and more recently Madrid.
