Ralph Hasenhuttl is aware of Manchester City’s threat and has called on his players to deliver a clinical performance when they take on the defending champions in the next match.
Southampton managed to limp out of the relegation zone with two back to back wins but the Austrian manager suffered his first defeat against West Ham United in the last match.
Southampton would be hoping to capitalise on City’s mistake as the defending champions looked a bit lost in the last couple of games. Consecutive defeats at the hand of Crystal Palace and Leicester City forced them to the third place in the Premier League table and Pep Guardiola would be determined to get back to winning ways.
Hasenhuttl says, “They can be (more dangerous). It’s not normal for Manchester City to lose two times in a row.
“They also have a few injury problems but there is so much quality in this squad.
“Maybe they lost a bit of self confidence after being in the lead and losing two times. We expect the most difficult challenge that is possible. If we want anything out of the game then we need the perfect performance.”
