Chelsea midfielder dismisses reports of a mutiny against boss

Ramires has offered his support and backing to under-fire manager Jose Mourinho.

The Chelsea boss could be days away from receiving the boot at Stamford Bridge for the second time of his career, and a loss to Liverpool on Saturday could be the final nail in the coffin.

Mourinho has been under severe scrutiny this season for his actions off the pitch, and for the results on it, which has left them 16th in the Premier League after the opening 10 games.

Despite winning the Premier League title just months ago, there is heavy speculation surrounding the future of Mourinho, with reports claiming he’s already in talks with other clubs.

AS Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan have all reportedly got in touch with Mourinho about a potential job if he does in fact leave Chelsea.

However, The Special One has received a special backing from one of his player as Ramires insists that there is no mutiny against the manager.

Ramires Offers Support

“There’s no mutiny against Mourinho,” he told ESPNFC. “If you take the latest games you will see that everyone is running too, giving their lives in the field.

“When the timing is bad, it is natural that negative speculations begin to appear, but the group is closed and focused on doing what Mourinho asks of us and helping Chelsea to win.

“It’s hard to find a logical explanation [for Chelsea’s slow start] for the fact the group is pretty much the same, but the important thing is that we are striving to change.

“We know we have a great team that can do more, that is capable of this.

“We are struggling a lot in the field to make Chelsea get back to stability and to do that you need to go back to fight over, which is what always needs to happen.”
