The midfielder is wanted by several sides including Arsenal

Claudio Ranieri has claimed that he will not stop N’Golo Kante from leaving Leicester if he wants to go.

The 25-year old has been sensational for the Foxes this season and is one of the main reasons why the club are sitting at the top of the Premier League. His performances impressed so much that he even got his first caps for his country France last month.

With the player having done so well this year, it’s not surprising that he is starting to gain a lot of interest. Kante is now being chased by several clubs who all want to try and sign him in summer, including Arsenal.

Wenger knew about Kante before Leicester

Arsene Wenger rates the player highly and even knew about him before Leicester did, with the Gunners chief having scouts in France who saw him play.

He now wants to bring the midfielder to the Emirates Stadium and despite being so impressive for the Foxes this year – and a player they wouldn’t want to lose – current boss Claudio Ranieri has revealed that he won’t stand in the 25-year old’s way if he does want to leave.

Ranieri said: “I think he should rest here a while but if some big teams give us a lot of money then maybe we can think about it.

“If he’s not happy here then I don’t want sad players.

“But he’s always smiling so let’s see.”

Leicester are of course doing extremely well this year and defying the odds at the right end of the table. Kante has been a pivotal part of the side, helping the Foxes control games at times, and Arsenal will be hoping he can do the same for them if they do end up signing him.
