Real Madrid defender, Raphael Varane, has admitted that he’s unhappy with the lack of game time at the club, alerting both Manchester United and Chelsea.

The English duo have shown serious interest in the Frenchman since the Summer, and it’s strong knowledge that Jose Mourinho likes the centre-back after he gave him his chance at the Bernabeu during his tenure in Spain.

Despite his big reputation, Varane is struggling for game-time due to the partnership of Sergio Ramos and Pepe, and after admitting that it’s frustrating him, the 21-year-old could leave the club sooner rather than later.

Varane said: “It’s different with the national team. I get more minutes and have more responsibility in the team.

“The aim is to reach the same level of involvement in the club.”

United are desperate to add some defensive power to their squad, and Louis Van Gaal is reportedly interested in bringing the 21-year-old to Old Trafford in the near future.
