After the game, Raul said: “It was my last game in my career.

“I’m very proud of everything I did. For me now, I start a new life with another project. I’m happy, but I’m also very sad.”

Raul spent most of his career in Spain with Real Madrid, and was the club’s record goalscorer with 323 goals until last month, when Cristiano Ronaldo eclipsed his tally.

SillySeason would like to congratulate Raul on a truly memorable career.
