Ray Parlour has said not to write Tottenham Hotspur off the race for supremacy in the Premier League.

Spurs have made it into the top three with their massive 2-6 win against Everton and are just two points behind second-placed Manchester City.

Former Arsenal midfield ace Ray Parlour has said not to underestimate Tottenham in the race to the Premier League title this season. Mauricio Pochettino’s men are going from strength to strength and have made it into the top three with a massive win against Everton at Goodison Park in their last outing. They are currently two points behind the second-placed Manchester City in the league table.

Parlour said, “You can’t write them off,” he added, “I’ve always said it’s going to be a two-horse race between Liverpool and Manchester City. But if you look at the table, Spurs are two points off Man City and six off Liverpool, so if they keep playing the way they are and keep everybody fit, they’re got every chance. It was an all-round great performance yesterday and they’re having an unbelievable season. They haven’t drawn one game yet. Tottenham’s starting XI is a very good side who can definitely challenge Liverpool and Manchester City.”

The north London side leapfrogged London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal to take the spot after Liverpool and Manchester City after running riot at Goodison Park in their 18th match of the season. Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Heung Min Son and Christian Eriksen scored the goals for Spurs and handed them a big win as they look to challenge for the Premier League trophy this season.
