The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move to the Spanish side

Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain form Barcelona for a world record fee of €222 million last August, which made him the most expensive player in football history. The Brazilian joined the La Liga giants in 2013 and enjoyed a successful period there but decided to leave as he wanted to operate more independently.

The 26 year old was in excellent form for the Ligue 1 giants, scoring 28 goals and assisting 16 from 30 appearances before suffering a foot injury. He won the Ligue 1 Player’s of the year award despite missing the end of the campaign and returned to full fitness ahead of the World Cup in Russia.

Brazil started their World Cup campaign with a 1-1 draw against Switzerland with the forward starting the game. He scored his first Russia 2018 goal late on in a 2-0 defeat of Costa Rica and moved third in Brazil’s list of all time leading goalscorers.

They also won their last match of the group against Serbia, finishing as the toppers with 7 points. They will face Mexico in the Round of 16.

But there were reports that the Brazil International old is less than satisfied with life in Paris despite spending less than a year in the French Capital. He has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid since he reportedly met French side’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to express his unhappiness.

Spanish side President Florentino Perez is believed to be a huge admirer of him and is eager to bring him this summer in order to strengthen his squad for the upcoming season.

Madrid’s right-back Dani Carval  would welcome the winger if the club signs him this summer.

“If he was born to play in Madrid, I don’t know,” he told Cadena SER as quoted by Goal.

“Madrid always want the best in the world. If the president is determined to sign him, we will have to save a locker.”
