Real Madrid are apparently in advanced talks with Chelsea mega star Eden Hazard as manager Zinedine Zidane prepares to bolster his attacking options.
The Chelsea star has been in exceptional form this season for the Blues and has not yet signed a new contract with the club.
Hazard’s contract runs until 2020 and doubts still remain as to whether the Belgian will extend his stay at Chelsea.
And now, Spanish news outlet Diario Gol claim that Hazard is in talks with Real Madrid but star player Marco Asensio has issued an ultimatum to the club.
Asensio has told Real Madrid bosses that if Hazard joins, it will be his last season at Real Madrid.
The reports suggest that Hazard will join the Galacticos after the 2018 World Cup in the summer.
It’s believed Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is a big admirer of the Spanish star and would be more than happy to sign him if Asensio follows through with his threats.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has made no secret of his admiration for Eden Hazard though and has told Real Madrid president Florentino Perez he wants him at the club. So if the choice comes down to either Hazard or Asensio, it seems that Zidane would favour taking Eden Hazard.
The Belgian has scored seven times for the Blues this season and head coach Antonio Conte has insisted in the past that he wants Hazard to stay but ultimately it’s down to the board and Hazard himself whether or not he does stay.
