The news follows suggestions that Bayern Munich are plotting another raid on Borussia Dortmund, this time for their midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, and may force David Moyes and United in action before the end of the season.
United’s need to strengthen in midfield is well known after failing to sign Cesc Fabregas and Ander Herrera among others last summer, and it seems other European super-clubs are trying to get their business done before this campaign finishes.
According to Sky Italia, talks between Juve and the Real took place last night as the Old Lady’s general manager Beppe Marotta visited the Bernabeu for the friendly between Spain and Italy.
