La Liga giants ready to battle Chelsea and Manchester United

Real Madrid have entered the race to sign Everton centre-back John Stones, alongside Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester United.

The England defender has been strongly linked with a move away from Goodison Park, with Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford his likely destination.

However, according to reports this morning, Madrid are keen on signing him and could offer around £40million in order to land him.

Rejected Bids

Everton snubbed three formal offers for the young defender over the summer, with Jose Mourinho offering as high as £38m for the centre-back, but Roberto Martinez stood firm and rejected all three of the bids.

Martinez was then left angered with how Chelsea dealt with the negotiations, which lead to them refusing to sell to the Premier League champions.

Since then Stones‘ future has still be discussed and talked about, but the latest reports claim Zinedine Zidane could be interested in landing the Toffees star.

Everton may prefer to sell Stones abroad so that they aren’t strengthening a league rival.
