Real Madrid have decided to sell their star player at the end of the season

Real Madrid have decided to sell Isco at the end of the season, according to reports in Spain.

The 25-year-old agreed to a five-year contract extension with Madrid in September which keeps him at the club until 2022. However, the midfielder has struggled to impress for Madrid this term as the Spanish champions sit 19 points behind Barcelona in the La Liga table.

According to Spanish television show ‘El Chiringuito’, Madrid are set to cash in on the midfielder this summer. The report claims that should Zinedine Zidane remain at the club beyond the end of the season, the Frenchman’s priority will be to offload Isco.

The report also alleges that Zidane feels ‘let down’ by the player’s performances this season. He has instructed Madrid’s hierarchy to listen to offers.

Liverpool have already been linked with Isco and could consider the Spain international as a potential successor to Philippe Coutinho.
