Can’s contract set to expire at the end of the season

Emre Can’s future at Liverpool still remains uncertain as the negotiations between them have hit an impasse. Despite club’s several offers for a new and improved contract, he has rejected the advances. His contract is set to expire at the end of the season and looks likely he will leave on a free transfer.

Juventus has been linked with the German for a long time and it looks likely that he is going to join them this summer.

Now Spanish outlet Don Balon suggests that Real Madrid have joined the race for Emre Can. Club president Florentino Perez has given light for the deal and ready to give him a more lucrative offer.

The 24 will not only arrive for free but he will bring a lot of top-flight experience from both Germany and England. He could be an ideal fit in the Galacticos midfield and can prove as a strong backup for the Brazilian defensive midfielder, Casemiro.

Even though a defensive midfielder by trade, Can enjoy playing in more attacking positions. He is strong and technically adept to control possession in the midfield but also has decent tackling and game-reading ability.

According to reports, Real Madrid are also willing to include Dani Ceballos in the deal and believes he would be the key.
