Paris St Germain midfielder Marco Verratti is the subject of increasing competition for his signature.
Spanish giants and Champions League holders Real Madrid are the latest names in the frame.
Arsenal and Manchester United have wanted Verratti on their books for a long time.
Now they are facing a bidding war to sign him.
Current Bernabeu chief Carlo Ancelotti signed Verratti for the French club when he was in charge in 2012.
Asier Illaramendi and Sami Khedira both appear to be leaving Real in the summer, and Ancelotti has identified the man he wants to replace them.
Verratti’s agent, however, has indicated that his player would prefer a move to his home country instead.
Donato Di Campli told Tuttosport: “We’ll see what the future holds, but there is more chance to see him play in Italy than Real Madrid, but still we do not know where.”
Verratti has had discipplinary problems this season, he was booked against Lille on Tuesday, picking up a third one-match ban this season.
