Arsenal’s and Liverpool’s hopes dashed as Madrid become favourites
Petr Cech has been heavily linked with a switch to Arsenal over the last couple of months but it now seems as though Real Madrid are coming in to swoop the veteran shot-stopper.
Cech has been with Chelsea since 2004 and during his time has notched up an impressive 330 appearances, 3 Premier League titles, 4 FA cups and a Champions League medal.
Out of Favour
But 2014/2015 has not been his best season; he has lost his number 1 spot to Thibaut Courtois which has led to speculation that he will be leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer.
It seemed the Gunners would be favourite to land the 32 year old in a move worth an estimated £10 million pound but reports in the Daily Mail today suggest that Real Madrid are keen on bringing Cech to the Bernabeu as a replacement for Iker Casillas.
Other Interest
Over clubs including Liverpool and PSG are also supposedly interested in securing his services.
