Real Madrid are planning a huge swap deal for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, which would see Arsenal, Manchester United, Man City and Chelsea miss out entirely.
Both European giants are in the hunt for new players this summer, with Juventus looking for more attacking options, while Madrid look to improve their midfield. Juve boss Antonio Conte is looking to play a 4-3-3 this season, and wants Di Maria to be involved in a strong strikeforce including Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente.
Di Maria is also top of Arsene Wenger’s and Louis van Gaal’s wishlists, with both sides ready to offer £40million in order to lure the winger to their club. Both sides are wanting to challenge for the Premier League next season, and recently Di Maria has been hinting that his future lies away from Madrid.
Pogba has become one of the most sought after players in the world after he left Man Utd under Sir Alex Ferguson for Italy. Jose Mourinho and Manuel Pelligrini are both desperate to bring him to Chelsea and Manchester City respectively.
Juventus and Madrid are both keen to keep their stars this summer, although at the same time both are interested in negotiations over a possible transfer, which could leave all four Premier League clubs empty-handed.
